The Southeast Watershed Alliance, established by RSA 485-E in the 2009 legislative session, will enable and empower communities in the coastal  watershed to join together to find cost-effective and creative ways to improve water quality.  NHDES  is providing initial coordination support for the Alliance, as required by the state  legislation.  NHDES will pass the torch to the municipalities once the Alliance is formed.

Barrington Joins SWA

The town of Barrington is a member of SWA and has appointed Steve Conklin as representative.

SWA Meeting Scheduled

The date and time for the SWA organizational meeting has been confirmed for Monday December 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Brentwood Community Center at 190 Route 125, Brentwood. This meeting will be an organizational meeting of the SWA. It will be the first time that SWA appointees meet as a group. However, all interested parties are welcome to attend to observe the proceedings.

Kingston Joins SWA

Last night the Kingston Board of Selectmen voted to join SWA, and appointed Brian Quinlan as representative.

Lee joins SWA

The Lee Board of Selectmen voted on October 26 to join SWA.  At this point, they have not yet appointed a representative.
